Twenty Years, Countless Memories, and a Passion That Never Fades

If you’re new here, I thought it was time to share a little bit about myself, my journey, and why senior photography has been such an important part of my life for more than 20 years.

When I first started my photography business, I wasn’t handed a studio, expensive equipment, or a roadmap for success. I started from scratch. Every camera, lens, computer, and piece of equipment came from hard work, sacrifice, and determination. I spent years learning photography, mastering editing, building a business, and figuring out how to connect with clients.

There were no shortcuts.

One of the things that inspired me early on was seeing a large photography company offer a senior model program. I loved the idea of creating an experience that went beyond simply taking photos. When that company eventually closed and very few photographers in our area were offering anything similar, I decided to create my own Senior Spokesmodel Program.

Twenty years later, it remains one of my favorite parts of my business.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph hundreds of seniors, helping them celebrate one of the most exciting milestones in their lives. Watching a shy student gain confidence in front of the camera, seeing friendships form through the program, and creating images families will treasure for years are some of the reasons I continue to love what I do.

My journey hasn’t always been easy.

My family and I have moved several times over the years, and each move meant rebuilding my photography business from the ground up. Each time, I started over, introducing myself to a new community and earning the trust of new clients.

At the same time, I was raising a family with my husband, helping care for family members when they needed me, and balancing outside work while continuing to pursue my dream of growing my photography business.

Life doesn’t always follow the timeline we imagine.

There have been seasons when family needed me more. There have been times when responsibilities outside of photography had to come first. This year even brought a small health challenge that caused me to adjust some plans and slow down for a bit.

But through every challenge, one thing has remained the same: my passion for photography.

Every obstacle has taught me something. Every challenge has helped me grow—not only as a business owner, but as a person. Most importantly, those experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing the best experience possible for every client who trusts me with their memories.

I still get excited planning senior sessions.

I still love searching for the perfect location.

I still love helping seniors feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

And I still love delivering images that capture who they are during one of the most important seasons of their lives.

Photography has never simply been about taking pictures for me. It’s about telling stories, preserving memories, celebrating achievements, and creating an experience that makes people feel seen and valued.

If you’re considering senior photos, I would be honored to be part of your senior year journey.

My goal is simple: to create images that reflect your personality, celebrate who you are, and give you memories you’ll be proud to look back on for years to come.

Senior year only happens once.

Let’s make it unforgettable.
