Mike & Lenae Wedding

What a better place to start then this couples love story….

Mike and Lenae starting dating in 2014, when they both graduated from college. After four years of dating in Ohio, they had the opportunity to move across the country to Arizona, with their jobs at Nationwide. When the pandemic hit in 2020, they found themselves working from home full time and decided to move to Florida. By the end of 2020, Lenae was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, with the first available opening at a cancer hospital being in Columbus, Ohio. They made their way back to Columbus, Ohio where the James Cancer Research Hospital saved Lenae’s life in the winter months of 2020 & 2021. Since being in remission for 3 years, Lenae has relentlessly advocated for AYA (adolescent and young adult cancer) & Mike has supported her by any means necessary. They currently reside just north of Columbus, Ohio and spend time with their families and exercise with their rescue dogs. Mike and Lenae are avid travelers, going to many states together, including SC, WV, CA, FL, WY, IN, PA, VA, TN, GA, ID, UT and AZ.

The wedding day even with a few rain drops, was perfect! The couple married at the Marblehead Lighthouse in Marblehead, Ohio. With family and friends surrounding them both with love. As a photographer, I always love the little touches that make each wedding special. They had there fur babies with them for the wedding and the song that Lenae walked down to was of her singing as a surprise to Mike. I felt the couple was lucky that day as the rain stopped, and the places was not to crowded. This gave them the opportunity to enjoy the moment.

After the wedding we headed to the home they rented for the week. Nothing better again, then being right on Lake Erie. Everything was set up beautifully, inside and outside for the guests to enjoy, along with the neighbors cheering them on. They truly planned this wedding out to include family and friends that love them. It was an honor for Amy and I to be chosen to photograph the wedding for Mike & Lenae!
